With things transitioning to the new normal following the first wave of COVID-19, Love News sought some clarity on where the United Democratic Party is on selecting a new leader.  Faber didn’t have much to say on the new date for the convention but he did speak on his candidacy for leadership.

Hon. Patrick Faber, Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture: “Well as you know I have said from the start of the COVID-19 issue that that has to take a back burner to everything else. You’re right, we are moving towards normal once again however new that normal is and all I’ll say is that my ambition to be leader of the party has not diminished, my application is still alive and kicking I have no intention of withdrawing it and when the time is right we will revive the campaign full speed.”

Also vying for the UDP Leadership seat are Omar Figueroa, Wilfred Sedi Elrington, John Saldivar and Darrell Bradley.
