The family of fifty-three-year-old Marco Tulio Aldana, the man who died in a road traffic accident over the Easter Holiday is outraged over how authorities handled his body. On Holy Saturday, the Arenal Villager died in a traffic accident on the George Price Highway. After the unfortunate incident, his family says they had to wait seven days to retrieve his body. And, when they went to receive his body at the Burrel Boom Morgue, it was placed exposed on the pan of a pick-up truck. Their troubles didn’t end there because the family says they were directed to take it to KHMH for its final preparation. They followed instructions and shortly after they were shocked and frustrated when they were told that they had to take it to Belmopan for the final preparation. The family told Love News that the entire ordeal was frustrating and they hope something can be changed to ensure other families don’t have to go through the same thing.
