For now, the family of Private Clive Baizar is left grappling with heartbreak and unanswered questions following his cruel death. The gruesome details have left his father, Clive Baizar Sr., struggling to make sense of the violence that took his son’s life.

Clive Baizer Sr, Father: “I heard this morning when I woke up by my daughter and my son heard from about midnight but they didn’t want to tell me because they wanted me to rest, didn’t want to give me the news until I got up the morning. It didn’t hit me that hard yet you now, it hasn’t hit me that hard yet because my son always is out there and like he’s not around us that much like the rest. He’s always out at PG all the time and now and again I see him so maybe after this when I make contact and so on phone. He was to retire already and he signed again because he liked the job and he wanted to stay on because he was to retire already but he signed again to stay on the job. I want them to give justice to my son. Justice because that is completely murder. Can’t be nothing else other than murder. That is murder. Eight shots ? All through the back of his head ? That is murder. They chanced him out of his life.”
The tragedy has left a void in the Baizar household. Baizar’s cousins, Virgil and Juan Perez spoke with Love News and tearfully recounted their cousin’s passion for the military and his role as a protector of those around him.

Juan Perez Jr, Cousin: “We were very close because I grew up in the village of Bermudian Landing and every holiday from childhood all of us they always want to be around us. And if got the news this morning like after six, from then it’s like I feel one of the bullets he felt. That’s the pain I’m going through right now. Coming all the way from San Ignacio driving with tears in my eyes, this person that hurt my cousin doesn’t know the pain he put our family in. Such a tragic death for my cousin, serving and protecting his country just for one of his very own, it’s like a family because they work together, they’re always together, he spent more time with them than his family like what my uncle said, eight months he didn’t see his son now for my uncle and us the family, brothers, sisters, loved ones give our last respect to my cousin in a casket it’s really unfair and I’m calling on authorities to look into it and give the family the justice that we deserve.”
Virgil Perez, Cousin: “When I got the news this morning… well up to now I still can’t believe that he died this kind of way so tragic and doing what he loved because he loved his job. He was there, never missed work, always made sure he gets to work on time and knowing. What bothers me the most is knowing that someone that he probably looked out for while at work would end his life like this.”
While the family grieves, investigations into the incident continue.
