Family Offers $5,000 Reward for Missing San Antonio Man, Joshua Hall

The family of missing man Joshua Hall is desperately searching for answer and is now offering a five-thousand-dollar reward for any information about his disappearance. Since Monday, Hall’s family has been combing countless areas in the Corozal District in hopes of finding him. However, the family has not been able to find a trace of Hall and now believes he may have been killed.  The 20-year-old resident of San Antonio Village failed to return home on Monday night after leaving around 8:30 a.m. He had visited the Corozal Police Station just before 9 o’clock, and after leaving he went missing. His family is now desperately searching for answers and hopes they’ll be able to find out what happened to Hall. His brother Zohan Hall spoke to our newsroom this morning about the search efforts and pleaded for any information that will be able to help them locate their missing loved one.

Johann Hall, Brother of Joshua: “The message that he gave to my parents, well my mother was that he was going to go sign in and he was coming back. They were supposed to work on fixing up a studio like area that is being done as an extension for him and his girlfriend at my home and he told his girlfriend the same thing that he was going to go do his signing and he was coming back. But he never made it back home. After leaving the police station we don’t know what happened. What is concerning is that the cameras at the police station are not working. I don’t understand how you can have a police station that should be a running and proper police station functioning properly without a camera system or a surveillance system that is working. Because the officer said that he did exit the police station but they did not pay much attention as to what direction he left in. And one officer did mention that they saw someone waiting for him or that he left off with someone but because their cameras are not working we have not been able to gain access or see any footage to confirm that or at least see who he might have left off with. The police has asked for footage of businesses and proprietors in the immediate area. The police in Corozal is at a central location so whatever direction he might have taken we are certain that a camera would have had to pick up something and the response from the police so far is that none of the footage that they have gained access to has shown anything and so our concern is so what exactly has happened ? If the camera at the police station wasn’t working and they said he left but other cameras in the immediate area are not showing anything how could he just disappear from within that area.”

While the family has launched multiple search efforts, Hall says they still have countless locations to comb and need the public’s assistance. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the police and said the authorities have not been very helpful.

Johann Hall, Brother of Joshua: “We’ve searched several areas in depth and we have not been able to see anything, find anything, no evidence of the bike he was on, nothing at all. It’s all questions no answers and we’re just really concerned about what exactly might have happened. At this time we fear the worst but we’re hoping for the best. We know what the history of people going missing in Belize is like and more often than not they do not turn up alive. We’re hoping for the best and we’re hoping that he’s still alive but as the days and time goes by and we have no answers we honestly do not know what is to be expected. We’re just asking the public for their support and assistance at this time. Like I mentioned all our search efforts have been spearheaded by us, the police hasn’t really assisted in the manner, they have not reached out to set up a search team or reached out to ask us if we want assistance in searching. And so my plea is that the police could give the support that is needed because we are relying on them honestly. They are the ones who are supposed to be heading this investigation for us. And we just feel as if though that is not being done and like I said the question remains as to what happened after he signed in at the police station and if he left the police station as we’ve been told how is it possible that no camera in the immediate area has been able to pick up anything ?”
