Family Seeks Answers in Fatal Traffic Incident on Philip Goldson Highway

The family of forty-two-year-old, Ishmarley Clarke, is desperately searching for information into the traffic incident yesterday that claimed his life. The father of three was driving his motorcycle on the Philip Goldson Highway when he collided with the back of a parked van. Clarke sustained severe head and body injuries and died while undergoing treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. His brother Jermaine Bryant, says that he could not comment on the information they have received from authorities, but the family has a lot more questions than answers.

Jermaine Bryant, Brother of Ishmarley Clarke: “I looked at the video, I could have not recognized that that was my brother. I guess God knows why because if I knew that was my brother I would have made haste to go help my brother because no way I would have left my brother like all of those people left him out there to just bleed out. And based on that I just dismissed the video because I didn’t know who it is. All I just said to myself I hope the person gets help and come to find out it was my brother, it was him, Ishmarley Clarke on that hot pavement crying out for help. To be honest I don’t really want to share it because it’s still a pending investigation in the sense that they’re doing their report and we as the family we’re asking for some video footage and answers and we’re hopeful that we would get that and be able to do our own determination for ourselves to say alright yes this is what happened and then we can have some closure on our side to say yes this is what took place. Because it’s questionable .Everybody is saying something had to happen for my brother to you know get in that accident the way it did and end up dying because I mean we’ve heard multiple people crash into that same van in that area and you know they’re still alive but he is not and I mean it’s unfortunate but we have to just deal with the situation and just hope that we get the answer that we’re looking for.”

Up to news time, no official report has been issued by the investigators.  The van is the property of the New Testament Church of Belize in the Buttonwood Bay area.
