Family Seeks Public’s Help in Search for Missing Elderly Man from Burrell Boom

The children of 73-year-old, Eugene Leslie are searching for answers after their elderly father went missing. The resident of Buttercup Estate, Burrell Boom Village, Belize District was last seen on Friday, September 13, riding towards the main road outside of the village. His children said that they went on a search at all the establishments that had video cameras hoping to retrace his steps. Love News spoke to His daughter, Carol Leslie on the continued search for their father 

Caroll Leslie, Daughter of Missing Man: “We searched the whole Boom Hattieville circuit up and down since Saturday we’ve been out there. We checked with the police officer, a police officer accompanied us and whatever cameras we saw on the way we asked permission to view the cameras and everything. So so far we haven’t found anything as yet. We do have a friend who he did have a camera that we wanted to view it but his camera you have really sit down and watch it because you can’t stop it, we needed to just get it uploaded on our computer and that’s where we started to view the cameras by little seconds, pieces and we saw like a person come in on a bike and when the person keeps coming then we realized this has to be my bad, this is pass the prison almost reaching Hattieville. When we saw that we said okay that is our dad let’s try and see if we can follow him or find another camera that will pick him up. And when we went to J Mall they tried as well but my brother searched for like two hours on camera and he hasn’t passed there so this is where now we’re still at a standstill here again because we don’t know which direction he took. So that where we are now. We don’t know have any idea which direction to go or where to look so we’re just a needle in a haystack here. It’s crazy because we don’t know and if you don’t have a direction where would you check? That’s why we’re scared at this point because we’re just going by if someone said they saw an elderly person on a bike then we go and we check that section but nothing at this point. So we still haven’t found him you  know ? This is basically where we are.”
 

Leslie suffers from dementia. If anyone knows of his whereabouts they can contact the nearest police station
