Farmers in Toledo to Receive Training in Dragon Fruit and Soursop Cultivation

Registration for farmers and agricultural stakeholders in the Toledo District has opened for a 2-day training session over the weekend.  The training will surround techniques in the cultivation of high-value fruit crops, namely, pitahaya (dragon fruit) and soursop. The initiative is being hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE), and will take place at the Agriculture Department Conference Room.  According to the ministry, participants can expect a well-rounded program that combines theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience. The agenda includes both classroom sessions and valuable field visits to selected farms, allowing for practical demonstrations and direct engagement with experienced farmers.  Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Toledo Agriculture Department Office.
