Fatal Crash at San Estevan Roundabout Claims Three Lives

Three men were pronounced dead after eleven o’clock last night at the Northern Regional Hospital following a road traffic incident.  The incident happened at the San Estevan Roundabout on the Orange Walk bypass when 40-year-old, Noemias Cantun reportedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving.  As a result the Toyota Privia van slammed into the monument at the roundabout.  Cantun, along with his two passengers were flung from the vehicle, and sustained varying degrees of injuries.  When Police responded to the scene, they found a tire missing from the van, as well as a shattered windshield, and an extensively damaged roof.   They also found the three occupants of the van, Cantun; 19-year-old, Victor Enrique Tamay, and 25-year-old, Pedro Fidencio Mendez, reportedly, unconscious.  Love News spoke with the driver’s brother, Josue Cantun.

Love News understands that Cantun had just picked up the passengers, and was heading further north to drop them off.
