A road traffic accident last night in the Toledo District claimed the life of a man and left a high school teacher injured. Around 9:10, 34-year-old Xiomara Molina was traveling on the Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway on a motorcycle behind two other persons on a separate motorbike. Police say they were heading toward the Punta Gorda Junction when a red motorcycle suddenly crossed into Molina’s Lane and collided with her. The educator and the other motorcyclist, 45-year-old Jose Samuel Hoppington, were both flung to the pavement. Molina received injuries to her forehead, left leg, and left forearm. Meanwhile, Hoppington was transported to the Independence Polyclinic, where he passed away just before midnight. Police have yet to confirm the cause of the collision but say the strip of road is poorly lit.
