Father of three killed in hit and run

A man lost his life, and another received injuries last night in a hit-and-run in the Orange Walk District. At around 9 o’clock, 34-year-old Javier Patt, was riding his bicycle on the Philip Goldson Highway toward Orange Walk Town when he was hit from behind by a white pickup truck. Minutes later, 36-year-old Edgar Roberts was traveling in the same direction when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell to the pavement near the Toll Bridge. Both men received injuries to their bodies and were transported to the hospital.  Patt, unfortunately, succumbed whilst receiving treatment. Ida Patt, the victim’s sister, says the family is demanding justice and is calling on the public to bring her brother’s perpetrator to justice.
