On February 1, a road traffic accident on the George Price Highway claimed the life of Egbert Ferguson. One of the six tourists travelling in the minivan involved in the accident died on Saturday, due to cardiac arrest. Emilie Siman was a thirty four year old nurse who came on vacation to Belize with five of her friends. After the accident, Siman was flown out to Guadeloupe for further medical attention where she passed away this weekend. Senior Superintendent, Edward Broaster, confirmed the details.
“We’ve been receiving reports that one of the French tourists who was in the accident on February 1 has succumbed to her injuries. That is in the name of Emily Seiman from the country of France. So that is another fatality to that accident which occurred on February 1 on the George Price Highway.”
