Just after midday today, officials were called out to an alley just off Banak Street in Belize City where a wooden structure, measuring ten by ten and elevated about two feet off the ground, was on fire. The structure was the home of Shamika Trapp who had gone to a nearby store a few minutes prior to the fire. She has since refused to cooperate with the police; fire officials, however, have indicated that their preliminary investigation has revealed the cause of the fire to be an electrical fault.
