Fire Erupts at Lopez Trucking Spot Compound in Belize City

There was a fire on the south side of Belize City this morning. Reports are that fire started around 11:30 at the Lopez Trucking Spot compound, which is located behind the Customs and Excise Department in the Port Loyola area.  A structure near some gas tanks reportedly caught fire and employees tried to get the situation under control while personnel from the Belize National Fire Service were en route. Fire personnel managed to extinguish the blaze, and no one was injured during the incident. The BNFS has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
