In an operation carried out this morning, officers came across two firearms in the south side division of Belize City. Assistant Commissioner of Police spoke of the operation.

ACP Williams says that there intelligence had revealed who the owner of the firearms is but they were unable to make an arrest although investigators believe that one of the weapons was used in a recent robbery.

The weapons were found in an area on Banak Street near its junction with Magazine Road.
