First Belizean Hemp Products Shelves with Over-the-Counter Options

Yesterday we reported on the continuation of the exploration of the hemp industry in Belize, analyzing the possibility to capitalize on it. Well now, the first set of hemp products under the “Belize Tropical Hemp” line have made their way to pharmacies on an over-the-counter basis. Back in 2017, Belize decriminalized ten grams of cannabis per person followed by the legislation of industrial hemp. Hemp has been scientifically studied to be a versatile plant that can contribute to a person’s dietary needs. The products being offered by the local line include, but are not limited to, gummies, oils and topical ointments. Love News spoke with the Operating Manager for Tropical Hemp, Lorena Beltran, gave us further insight into the array of products they have to offer. 

The products are being distributed tonically and can currently be found in Brodies and Publics’ pharmacies.
