First-Ever Fairtrade Market Day Planned for Belize

The first-ever Fairtrade market day is being planned for this weekend. The Chairman of the Orange Walk Fairtrade Committee, John Burgos spoke to Love News on what the event will entail.  He noted that while the Market Day is being held in orange walk, the committee welcomes people from all over the country to showcase their homemade, and homegrown products.

The Chairman also went on to explain how these local businessmen and women can benefit from Orange Walk becoming a fair-trade town. Burgos hopes that this will become a reality within the next ten years.

The Market Day will be happening on July one.
