The first one happened at 8:30pm at the corner of Curacao street and North Creek in Belize City where Hilda Flowers a 14 year old student received gunshots to her feet, she is in a stable condition and is recovering at this time. Information is that Hilda Flowers and Jareel Flores who are friends were standing right at the corner of Curacao Street and North Creek when a vehicle drove past them and fired one single shot causing the injuries to Hilda. So far the police have recorded statements from witnesses and have positively identified the gunmen, we are seeking one person who had been identified and we certainly will assure the public that we will have an arrest during the course of the day. The second incident that happened at 9:30pm was at the corner of King Street and Euphrates Avenue when Ivanie Flowers a 33 year old riding his bicycle when he was approached by two male persons on motorcycles who fired several gunshots at him which caught him twice on his left and right foot. The first started at about 8:12 pm last night where one Golda Martinez was inside her house and heard three stones on top of her roof, when she opened the door to see what was happening someone on the edge of the bushes got up with an object and she scurried inside the house and one loud shout was heard. No one inside was injured; she was along with her children thank God that no one was injured. This happened in Ladyville at #3 Brackett Farm. The second shooting occurred at about 9pm last night where one Anthony Vanson was walking on the old Maskall Road going toward the Love Fm Tower, heading to the Phillip Goldson Highway when he heard one gunshot and he fell and received an injury to the right upper side of his head, he was escorted to the KHMH, gratefully that is not an injury that is life threatening and he will survive that shooting.”
