Floralia Bus Services Resume on Southern Highway After Court Ruling

After a short hiatus, tonight Floralia is back on the Southern Highway.  Last month, the high court ruled that three of the company’s southern road service permits were improperly awarded by the Transport Board. The court had given the government a deadline of December 10 to issue the permits properly, but it couldn’t do so. The department had requested an extension, but the courts denied it. Today, the Ministry of Transport announced that the Transport Board met yesterday and approved two of Floralia’s two bus runs. The board approved the company’s run that leaves Punta Gorda at 5:30 am and 6:30 am to Belize City from Monday to Saturday.
