Foreign Affairs Minister Fonseca Meets with US Ambassador

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Francis Fonseca, met with the US Ambassador to Belize earlier today.  It is Fonseca’s first meeting with the embassy since he was given this addition to his portfolio.  The addition of foreign affairs and foreign trade to his duties, is seen as an overload by many.  Today, Prime Minister Briceno was asked why Dr Louiz Zabaneh was not brought into the fold as a substantive Cabinet minister.

Over the last two weeks, Minister Fonseca has met with the staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  He has also been briefed by Belize’s diplomatic missions across the globe.
