Tonight Alexis Rosado, the former ambassador to the European Union, remains accused of very disturbing crimes. He was arraigned on Wednesday at the Belmopan Magistrate Court on several charges. These include one count of rape, one count of sexual assault and six counts of aggravated assault. The virtual complainant told police that the sexual abuse began when she was thirteen years old and ended when she completed twenty-seven years. In court, Rosado was offered bail of five thousand dollars plus two sureties which he met. His case was adjourned to July 6. And while the court has yet to hand down a verdict, the public has judged Rosado. Today, his diplomatic comrade and close personal friend ambassador Said Badi Guerra is defending Rosado. Hipolito Novelo has the story.
