Former Belmopan Councilor Speaks Out on her time in office

Former Belmopan Councilor Speaks Out on her time in office

While there are several politicians in the People’s United Party hoping for re-election, one PUP who says she’s done with politics is former Belmopan Sheran Palacio. The first-time politician had a rocky time in office and was one of the most controversial figures in the Belmopan City Council. Palacio’s slate, all except for one, was unable to regain the support of the party and was constantly at odds with the former educator. Last week, on the cusp of demitting office, Palacio was asked whether she felt the poor relationship among the council was indicative of her leadership style and if an uptick in infrastructural work in Belmopan was her effort to save face. Here’s her response.

Palacio says she is writing a memoir about her time in office.
