Former Mayor Khalid Belisle Might Be Set to be UDP’s New Belmopan Standard Bearer

Love News received reports early this morning that former UDP Mayor Khalid Belisle has agreed to be the Belmopan Standard Bearer.  The information came from multiple sources, but when our newsroom reported on it, many came out saying it was fake news.  Up to news time tonight, however, our intel remains the same.  We understand that Belisle, who had served two terms as Belmopan’s Mayor, recently met with UDP’s Leader, Moses Shyne Barrow.  We further understand that an endorsement has been scheduled for September 6.  Should Belisle choose to run, he will be going up against PUP’s Oscar Mira.  Our newsroom will keep following these reports.  We did try reaching Belisle, but our calls and messages went unanswered.
