Doctors at a private medical facility in Belize City continue to monitor Belize’s former Prime Minister, Said Musa.  The 76-year-old veteran politician and present Parliamentarian was taken to the hospital last night after he began showing signs of a stroke.  The family has chosen not to do any interviews on Musa’s condition but has only said that he is stable and under observation.  In the opening of a press conference this morning, Prime Minister Dean Barrow extended wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize: “Allow me the opportunity to express my best wishes for a speedy recovery for the Right Honorable Said Musa the ex Prime Minister of Belize. I understand that he was last night admitted to hospital having suffered what was described as a mild stroke. I’m sure that I join all other Belizeans in wishing him a speedy and complete recovery.”

The Right Honorable Said Musa is a two time Prime Minister for Belize and is currently the Area Representative for the Fort George Division.  He is the father of PUP’s Area Representative, Kareem Musa and PUP’s Chairman, Henry Charles Usher.  Love News will continue seeking updates on the progress of Musa’s recovery and will update you accordingly.
