Four Fallen Soldiers: Calls for Recognition Amplify on Anniversary Amid Government Silence

Had it not been for the release issued today, highlighting the pending compensation to the soldiers’ families, would these four soldiers be remembered for losing their lives in the line of duty?  With today marking four years since the unprecedented crash it is interesting to note that the government, particularly the Ministry of Defence and Border Security have been silent on remembering these soldiers.  PSU’s Dean Flowers also spoke on this aspect, saying that these men deserve to be recognized and remembered.

The four BDF soldiers were in a Bell UH-1H Huey helicopter when they crashed at approximately four-thirty in the morning of February 27, 2020.  They were assisting in a counter-narcotic operation when the crash occurred.
