Four persons were injured in a road traffic incident on Monday evening on the George Price Highway. A taxi driver of Benque Viejo del Carmen, Cayo District was with three passengers traveling to San Ignacio Town when the gray Toyota Corolla collided into a lamp post and subsequently flipped. The driver, 27-year-old, Reynaldo Tut received a cut wound to the head, the left arm and knee. According to the driver’s mom, Norma Tut the incident happened due to an oncoming motorcycle.
Mother: “I’m Reynando’s mother. I would like to clear things up about the rumors that are going around. He lost control of the vehicle because of a motorcycle according to him. The motorcycle came on his lane and that is when he started to lose control. It was four people, they were injured but thank God nobody died. I hope that my son comes out well from all of this. Asking for everyone that knows me for their prayers. Only his jaw was damaged, his neck. I wait on God that he comes out well from all of this.”
The other passengers are 21-year-old, Simon Cruz; 13-year-old, Kumer Valdez and 21-year-old, Brisaida Orantes.
