Among 60 Belizean applicants, four have been chosen to participate in the Juntos Program this year. Cecy Castillo, Christa Hulse, Donghoon Choe and Raphael Martinez were chosen to travel to Belize to represent the country in the Juntos Program, a Japanese Friendship Ties Program with Latin America and the Caribbean. The four Belizeans will be expected to act as ambassadors during their two-week exchange in Japan. They are also expected to successfully achieve two objectives. The first one being to promote further understanding of the Japanese society, history, culture, politics and foreign policy and the second is to deepen the relations between Japan and the Latin American Countries. Yesterday the group met with Foreign Affairs Minister to discuss their expectation. They leave the county next week.
