Galen University Invests Dr. Rene Villanueva as New President

Today, Galen University held an investiture ceremony for its new President, Dr. Rene Villanueva. In January, Dr. Villaneuva was chosen to hold the prestigious position after serving as the university’s Chairman for several years. Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of RSV Media Centre, Dr. Villanueva was divested of traditional academic regalia and invested in the traditional Presidential Robe, which contains special features that represent the county’s landscape. A prestigious honor that Dr. Villanueva says he was honored and immensely proud to be a part of.

Dr. Villanueva takes over the reins from former President Dr. Louis Zabaneh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, who noted that he could not have thought of a better successor. Prime Minister John Briceno, who was unable to make it, also congratulated him for the honor and highlighted the good work that will result from his leadership.

It was an event filled with much pomp and circumstance as Villanueva’s family, dignitaries, politicians, and members of academia gathered to witness the formal inauguration.
