Galen University’s Criminal Justice Club is calling for increased police patrols to safeguard commuting students after a student was assaulted and robbed last week. Reports are that a twenty-year-old woman headed to the University of Belize was robbed of her phone at knifepoint while she waited for a bus on February 1. President of the Criminal Justice Club Xajeidy Vasquez said that the club has a meeting with police senior command this week to discuss the increased patrols.

At the meeting, the club hopes to focus on specific times for the increased patrols.///
