Belize City resident Robert Emmanuel Lamb saw a charge of gang affiliation withdrawn against him yesterday. The 24-year-old appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, where he learned that the charge of gang membership had been dropped. The announcement came from the prosecution, represented by the Head of Prosecution, Alifah Elrington. While the withdrawal of this charge brought a moment of relief, Lamb remains on remand at the Belize Central Prison as he awaits trial for murder. He, along with 29-year-old Samuel Trapp and 27-year-old Kevin Lanza, have been accused of the July 4, 2023, murder of 18-year-old Gabriel Tillett. The killing occurred inside the Lord Ridge Cemetery in Belize City. Lamb has a history with the law. Back in 2022, at the age of 21, he was accused of being a member of the Antelope Horse & Carriage/1Slap Clique, a gang alleged to engage in serious criminal activities. Despite today’s development, Lamb’s legal battles are far from over, as he faces the weight of a murder charge alongside his co-accused.
