Garifuna Institute Motivates Youth with Progress Nest Program

On Saturday, the NGO Garifuna Institute for Research and Indigenous Understanding (GARiU) held a youth progress nest geared at motivating young people. The group aims to provide relevant education services to enhance the social, traditional, and economic upliftment of Garifuna people. The progress nest program was geared at building human capacity among youth from Siene Bight and Georgetown. GARiU’s founder, Dr. Enita Barrett, who is Cognitive behaviour Specialist, explained how the program assists youth in their educational journey.
