Glendford Grant sentenced to fifteen years for killing his father

37-year-old Glendford Grant was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for killing his father back in 2010. Grant who suffers from schizophrenia appeared before Justice Colin Williams for the murder of his 80-year-old father, Clifton Grant at his King’s Park home.

37-year-old Glendford Grant was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for killing his father back in 2010. Grant who suffers from schizophrenia appeared before Justice Colin Williams for the murder of his 80-year-old father, Clifton Grant at his King’s Park home. At mitigation plea, Justice Colin Williams who imposed the 15 years sentence as an appropriate sentence upon the convict, and deducted 1/3 of his sentence for his guilty plea.  In court, it was revealed that at the time of the murder, Grant was suffering from schizophrenia and despite this condition, he was fit for plea in his murder trial. According to the crown evidence Grant was at his father’s residence when he brutally attacked his father beating him to the face and head.
