Two resolutions were recently passed within the citrus industry. The resolutions were tabled and approved in Tuesday’s Annual General Meeting. The first has to do with the acquisition of shares in the Citrus Products of Belize Limited by the Citrus Growers’ Association. The second resolution surrounded the sale of shares in the Citrus Growers’ Association Investment Company Limited to Homeland Investments Limited. Both resolutions made up a part of the meeting that saw Minister of Agriculture, Abelardo Mai as its guest speaker and the reinstating of the association’s committee of management for another term. According to a release from the CGA, Minister Mai has committed in doing all within the government’s power to ensure its viability.
