GOB Announces Major Relaxations to COVID-19 Regulations

The Ministry of Health and Wellness late this evening announced via major relaxations in the COVID-19 regulations. The first major relaxation is that curfew will be lifted tomorrow, on March 1. The second major relaxation is that persons will not be required to wear mask in public. The new SI says that you persons are not required to wear face mask at a private residence, outdoors in an open space or driving along or with members of the same household. You DO have to wear a face mask while in closed areas and during certain events like church services, wedding, funeral and wake or repass, reception. You are also required to wear a face mask to have access to government buildings, public transport and in business establishments. Another big change that comes with the new SI is that social events such as wedding, church services, funeral, wake, sporting and recreational and other events can be hosted if, and only if, everyone who participates is vaccinated. Social distancing is still required. Minister of Health, Kevin Bernard will be on The Morning Show on Tuesday.
