GOB Discuss with BCCI Regarding Financing Bill

The Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is working on drafting a campaign financing bill. According to the BCCI, the lack of laws targeting transparency in financing campaigns for politicians leaves gaps in providing accurate accountability. The BCCI is hoping this bill can be enacted into law soon. PM John Briceño says that the Deputy Prime Minister, Cordell Hyde, will be meeting with the Chamber to engage in further discussions to be able to table this bill.
