Today, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise held a recognition ceremony for the 29 Belizean farmers who completed the Agricultural Labour Technical Training Program in Colombia. The farmers graduated on July 16 from the Panaca Foundation Agricultural School in Colombia. The three-month program was funded by the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation (APC Colombia) through the Colombian Government. Cayo Correspondent, Fem Cruz, attended the ceremony at the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds and spoke to Minister of Agriculture, Jose Mai, about the initiative.
The twenty farmers hailed from the Corozal, Orange Walk, Cayo and Toledo Districts.
