Government Allocates $1M for Urgent Repairs to Northern Sugar Roads

While the government has come under heavy criticism from the opposition, it will be allocating an additional million dollars to repair sugar roads in the north. Since the opening of the sugar crop season, farmers have been up in arms over the deplorable conditions of sugar roads in the Orange Walk and Corozal Districts. Well, it seems their cries did not fall on deaf ears. Today, Minister of Agriculture Jose Mai announced that additional funding has been allocated to fast track the road upgrades.

The crop season commenced last month.
