On Saturday the GSU was in Dangriga conducting anti-drug and firearm operations. GSU members searched an open lot and found five nine millimeter Aquila brand ammunition in a glass jar. No-one was in the immediate area at the time of the discovery therefore; the ammunition were labeled as Found Property. It is believed that the ammunition are the property of Darwin Duran, a known drug peddler in the area. Yesterday morning, the GSU were back in Belize City where they conducted operations on Hunters Lane. There they found one hundred and nine grams of weed and an empty point forty five caliber magazine hidden in some bushes. No-one was in the immediate area at the time of the discovery therefore; the drug and the empty magazine were labeled as Found Property. Authorities believe that the items belong to the Kelly Street Crips gang which controls the area. Later that day, the GSU headed to Taylor’s Alley where searched an abandoned lot and found a ton load of ammunition. Thirteen G.F.L brand bullets, 10 Aguila brand bullets and ten S&B brand ammunition were found inside a black plastic bag under some bushes. All the ammunition were taken to the station and stored as found property. The GSU believes that the ammunition are the property of the Taylor’s Alley Gang.
