A woman was hoodwinked out of two thousand five hundred dollars after she tried to get an expedited permanent residence card. 33-year-old, Aura Azucena Caal Raymundo reported to Police that she had gone to the Immigration Department in September to begin the application process. This is when she met 23-year-old, Kean Cardinez, a security guard who told her that he could speed up the application process for her. Raymundo further alleges that she paid the guard one thousand dollars on October 10 and gave him an additional one thousand five hundred dollars on October 14. Upon the second payment the woman alleges that she received the permanent residence card from Cardinez, only to find out later that the card was fake.
