Gunman Opens Fire on Roaring Creek Police Station

In what may have been the most lawless act seen in the country for some time, over the weekend, bullets went flying at the Roaring Creek Police Station. On Saturday night, a lone gunman arrived in front of the police station while an officer was seated in front and opened fire with a .40 calibre pistol. The assailant fired as many as twenty shots riddling the structure.  Fortunately, the officer escaped unharmed. Since then, police have launched an operation in the village to crack down on alleged gang members and restore citizen security. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero told the media that three men have since been detained and are expected to be charged.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Assistant Commissioner of Police: “Three officers were at the station at the time. They heard the loud bangs and they took cover. Thereafter when they came out the suspect had already fled from the area. The scene was processed, several expended shells were found. We are seeking several suspects in regards to this shooting. We have not established a clear motive, the matter is under investigation.”

Police are yet to establish a motive for the shooting.
