Hammock Bridge Planned as Alternative to Xunantunich Ferry During Floods

There are plans in the pipeline to construct and install a hammock bridge that would serve as an alternative to the ferry at the Xunantunich Maya Temple.  Last week, in speaking with the former Area Representative for Cayo West, Jorge Melin Espat, he explained that when the river floods and the ferry is unable to operate, monies are lost by vendors and tour guides.  He noted that the hammock bridge would serve as a solution to that issue.
