He Stole from his Own Mother

Twenty-five-year-old Jose Raul Pineda is facing jail time after he admitted to stealing more than thirty-eight thousand dollars in cash from his mother, Flor. The Belama Phase Three resident pled guilty to theft and confessed to investigators to stealing the money while his mother was out of the country during the Christmas Holiday in 2022. Pineda was remanded to prison until February 6, the day he will be sentenced. Flor requested that the charges be withdrawn but the prosecutor would need to get advice because of the amount of money involved.
