In keeping with its mission of informing the society, today Leo Bradley Library held its seventh annual health fair, which was visited by students and the public. The fair was held under the theme “Healthy mind, healthy body, healthy life”. Love news spoke with Shaunna Vaccaro, Senior Library Assistant, who said that when it comes to health, prevention is better than cure.
Shaunna Vaccaro – Senior Library Assistant: “We know that health is essential for all and we would like for each and every person to leave here knowing that healthy life or living begins from birth so we need to be aware of the food that we consume and how much we consume. We are in a society where we are finding that a lot of people are suffering from kidney disease where they have to do dialysis so today we have invited: the Belize Kidney Association, Cancer Society, Red Cross, the Dental, Body 2000, Sleep App Now and Blood Bank.”
Vaccaro added that over the years more stakeholders have come on board to help make the health fair a reality
