Heartbreaking Discovery: Decomposed Body Found on Philip Goldson Highway

Over the weekend a family received heartbreaking news regarding their missing son. A decomposed body was found just off mile 25 on the Philip Goldson highway. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, shared that a post-mortem examination is being conducted in order to confirm the identity of the body. 

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Police responded to a report at Biscayne Village. Upon their arrival they found human remains decomposed in a shallow grave. The remains have been removed from the area and are awaiting a post-mortem examination. We have not established the identity as yet as that will be revealed after the post-mortem is conducted. We have to get confirmation from the doctor who will perform the autopsy then we will make a determination. There were several searches done on the John Smith Road as well as other areas within the Belize district. On Saturday that is what we discovered at Biscayne Village.”

Jones had been reported missing since last Tuesday.  Love News understands that based on the clothing and other factors, Police believe that the body is that of Iran Jones.
