The co-pilot in the Mountain Pine Ridge drug landing on November 28 was taken to court this morning in Belize City. 27-year-old, Jesus Alberto Martinez Quintero of Culiacán (ku-li-ah-can), Mexico was charged for the importation of drugs into the country and the landing of an aircraft without the permission of the minister responsible for civil aviation. He appeared in court with his attorney, Oscar Selgado and was denied bail by the presiding magistrate. He is to return to court in San Ignacio Town on February 22, 2022, with the six other men believed to be involved in the drug plane landing. Interestingly, Quintero had to be carried to and from the courtroom as he had suffered a broken leg and hip in the crash landing of the narco-plane. Love News understands that Quintero had undergone surgery for his injuries last Friday at the KHMH.
