High Commission of India says visa was not waive for their delegates

The Chinese Association felt they were being treated unfairly since reports surfaced that the Government of Belize waived visa fees for a group of performers from India. We’ll a letter written to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the High Commission of India to Belize says that the visa fees were paid for by the Commission. The letter states quote, “The visa applications were submitted to the Honorary Consulate of Belize in Delhi, along with the non-refundable visa fee of US$ 250 per application for the group of 11 persons whose visit is fully funded by the Government of India.” End of quote. So this would mean that the visa fees were not waived as some had suggest. According to Foreign Affairs Minister, Wilfred Elrington, there is no provision in the laws that allows for the visa fees to be waived.
