The body of a Hispanic man was found on Saturday afternoon near the Swasey Bridge between miles 45 and 46. The victim, later identified as Reydarius Sho of Bladden Village, Toledo District, bore chop wounds to the neck, face, and arm. According to Superintendent of Police, Alejandro Cowo, they believe the incident is connected to a previous dispute that the victim had with another person from the village.
Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, Head, CIB: “Independence Police visited an area near the Swasey Bridge located between miles 45 and 46 on the Southern Highway where in a drain they observed the motionless body of a male person with apparent chop wounds to the body. The person was identified as Reydarius Sho 24 year old Belizean of a Bladen Village address. What police have gathered so far is that Mr.Sho had left from the village early in the morning and had went to Bella Vista to do some errands, whilst at Bella Vista he was seen socializing with a group of friends and thereafter he was found at that drain with the apparent chop wounds. The information is that they believe it is because of an ongoing dispute that happened some time ago in that same village which involved Mr.Sho as one of the persons.”
Police investigation continues.
