Home Invasion in Cayo

Home Invasion in Cayo

Thieves barged into a man’s house in Cayo District on Friday night in a home invasion. American national, 67-year-old Dave Adams and his wife, 59-year-old Kelly were socialising with their friend, 42-year-old Amanda Hanson of Canada, in his garage. At around 9:00 p.m. four Hispanic men barged into his home in San Antonio Village. They held the trio up at gunpoint. Three of the assailants had rifles and the fourth had a small short-arm pistol. The victims were ordered to get on the floor and attempted to tie Dave’s hands up. But he decided to fake a heart attack and tricked the assailants into taking three of them to the local clinic and leaving them there. The assailants then fled but a 12-gauge shotgun, some jewellery, a laptop, two cell phones, and some cash were stolen from Adams’ house
