Honduran National Fined and Faces Deportation for Illegal Entry

A Honduran national was fined in court today for an immigration offense. Twenty-nine-year-old Carlos Martinez appeared in court answering to a charge of illegal entry. Martinez immediately pleaded guilty and was fined one thousand dollars. He was ordered to pay it forthwith or he would spend six months in prison. The court also granted a removal order against him, to have him deported once he has settled his fine.
