Honduran Nationals Detained with Illegal Marine Products at Corona Reef

Three Honduran nationals were detained by a Belize Coast Guard team and the Toledo Institute for Conservation and Development (TIDE) after being found with illegal marine products in the area of Corona Reef.  According to the Coast Guard Commander, Admiral Elton Bennett, it was an early morning operation on Saturday that led to the detention of the men and the confiscation of more than 160 marine products.

The 160 products confiscated, range from Dog Teeth Snapper, Yellow Tail Snapper, Deep Water Snapper, Amber Jack and Bonito Fish, among others.
