Hopkins Fisherman Reported Missing

Twenty-four-year-old Marlon Martinez has been reported missing. The Hopkin Village fisherman was reported missing yesterday and was last seen on Friday, March 3. He has tattoos on both hands- one says “blessed” and the other says “I am deaf”. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and camouflage pants. Police Press Officer ASP Fitzroy Yearwood shared more details.

ASP. Fitzroy Yearwood, Public Relations, Belize Police Department: “A report made by his mother who came in from her workplace and is saying that they usually communicate via message or calls and she has been calling his phone but no response lately. I know that we sent out a flyer. As soon as the report is obtained at our offices, CIB, anywhere countrywide and they contact our office we try our best to put out the information right away and then most of the times we follow up with a flyer requesting the assistance of the public in trying to locate these missing persons. Like I explained on several occasions we don’t wait for any time to elapse, as soon as we get the information we put it out.”
